Location

Netherby Cottage is located at the south of the village, across the road from the beach.  It is ideally placed for the nearby tearoom and hotel, with the other  shops and restaurants of Whiting Bay within walking distance.  Whiting Bay Bowling Green and Whiting Bay Golf Course are also both close by. The forest trail to Glenashdale waterfall starts a few yards from the cottage.    


Netherby Cottage is on the bus route and also features private, off-road parking.

Accommodation & Facilities

Accommodation consists of a lounge, leading to a large kitchen/diner and to the bathroom.  Upstairs are the two bedrooms, one double and one twin.  Please be aware that Netherby is a traditional cottage, so the upstairs bedrooms have sloping ceilings.


The property has central heating throughout.  A television with Freesat is located in the lounge.


The kitchen features:


• Fridge/freezer

• Integrated Dishwasher

• Microwave

• Integrated Electric oven and hob, with extractor hood

• Integrated Washing Machine

• Integrated Tumble Drier


The bathroom features a stand-alone claw foot bath and a separate shower cubicle.  


The property has an enclosed garden with an area for hanging laundry.

Important Information


The principal hirer must be aged 25 years or over.


Please note that Netherby Cottage is a strictly no smoking property.


We regret that pets are not permitted at Netherby Cottage.


Electricity and bed linen are inclusive.  Please bring your own towels as they are NOT provided.


Key pick up location will be advised on confirmation of your booking. On your arrival, the property will be available from 4 pm and must be vacated by 10 am on your day of departure.


Bookings may be made over the telephone or by email.  A £100 deposit cheque is required upon booking to secure your reservation.


Payment in full is due no later than eight weeks before your arrival.



Netherby Cottage is a traditional detached stone cottage property that has been completely renovated to a high standard, providing an ideal  contemporary holiday home.  


It sleeps up to four in one double and one twin bedroom and benefits from a luxury bathroom and a newly installed fitted kitchen.  Available Saturday to Saturday.

The tariff for the 2013 season varies within the range:

£350 - £450 per week
