Location

Bramble is set one road back from the sea front in the centre of Whiting Bay, up the Smiddy Brae.  It is ideally placed for the village amenities.

Accommodation & Facilities

The extensive accommodation is set out over two floors and has electric heating throughout.


Downstairs the entrance hall has coat hanging and storage space.  A spiral staircase leads to the upper floor.


The comfortable and sunny lounge has a wood burning fire and large patio doors, leading to a patio area with seating and to the substantial enclosed garden.  A TV with freeview, video and DVD are provided.


The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge.  A washing machine, dryer and freezer are located in the adjacent garage.  The dining area leads out to a further patio area with seating and a barbeque.  Three bedrooms and family bathroom complete the ground floor.


Upstairs is a second ensuite double bedroom, a toilet and a large living/dining/additional bedroom.  This large room features a kitchenette with sink, microwave and fridge, a lounge area with TV and spacious dining table.  A large sofabed is available to use as a fourth double bed.  The room opens out onto the balcony, with another spiral staircase providing alternative access to the garden..


Bramble has private off-road parking

for around three cars.

Important Information


The principal hirer must be aged 25 years or over.  Please note that Bramble Cottage is strictly non-smoking.  Pets can be accepted only by prior arrangement at a nominal extra charge.  Dogs are not allowed upstairs.


A cot and high chair are available upon request at the time of booking.  Linen and towels are available for a small additional charge.


Keys are held at the Trafalgar Restaurant, see map for details.  On arrival the property will be available at 4 pm and must be vacated by 10 am on your day of departure.


Bookings may be made over the telephone or by email.  A £200 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The balance of your holiday cost must be received by us at the very latest one clear week before your holiday is due to start. Please send your written confirmation and deposit to:

The tariff for the 2012 season varies within the range:

£550 - £1000 per week.


Linen & towels are available at a charge of £7.50 per person.


Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement at a charge of £10 per dog per week.



Bramble Cottage is spacious modern house, set in extensive enclosed gardens with views over the Firth of Clyde.


The property sleeps up to 10 adults in three double bedrooms, (two ensuite), a twin room and a twin sofabed.  It has two separate lounge and dining areas and a separate kitchenette.


Available Saturday to Saturday.
